Help sustain an independent community resource
The Magyars of WA is being developed as a publicly accessible digital resource for documenting, connecting and strengthening Western Australia's wider Hungarian diaspora.
Access to public information and community resources is not conditional on payment.
Financial support is entirely optional.
People who find the project useful and would like to help meet its operating costs may choose to make a voluntary financial contribution.
What could financial support help with?
Contributions may assist with direct project costs such as:

website and platform services;

domain registration;
-
digital storage and archiving;

software and online services;
-
document digitisation;
-
printing;
-
community consultation and survey materials; and
-
other directly related operating expenses.
Where practical, these costs and the financial support received will be reported through the portal's Transparency page.
Choose whether to support
You should not have to pay to belong to a diaspora.
You should not have to contribute financially to participate in community research, provide information, share history or access publicly available community resources.
Financial contribution is simply one optional way of helping maintain the infrastructure.

What financial support does not provide
A financial contribution does not automatically provide:

membership;

voting rights;

preferential access;
-
control over published material;
-
greater influence over community research; or
-
special community status.
A person contributing knowledge, historical material or volunteer time may make a contribution considerably more valuable than a financial payment.

A voluntary financial-support mechanism will be introduced after the appropriate financial, accountability and reporting arrangements have been established.
